Bored and Lonely

Well just to update you, the newcomer gig I did the other night was just as bad, if not worse than I thought it would be. I'm booked to do the same gig in 2 weeks time and I need to think of a good way to get out of going. It was truly diabolical. My material didn't really gel with the crowd, I got a few chuckles, but I think they would have preferred some Knock Knock jokes.

Yesterday Georgina was struck down with a terrible cold so activities were limited. We spent the afternoon in bed watching movies until George had to leave me for the final time this month.

My lover is gone...

To take my mind off the emptiness of my broom cupboard I went to see David Mamet's "Speed The Plow" starring Kevin Spacey and Jeff Goldblum. It was excellent, just genuinely good theatre. I was rather excited to be standing in the theatre bar only a few feet away from Robert Lindsay, another name to add to my months star spotted list, including Andy Petters, Gail Porter and Graham McPherson AKA Suggs.

I've not quite managed to shake off the loneliness yet. Today I'm washing clothes and bed sheets etc, it's incredibly tedious and seems to be taking forever! I'm yet to take on the iron!

Tonight I have a gig somewhere south of London doing 10 - 15 mins. I can't say I'm looking forward to it, but who know how it'll turn out.

Anyway, I must go check if my things are dry.
